Aloha Redworms is proud to offer you organic composting Red Wiggler worms (Eisenia Fetida) raised with aloha...our farm is as chemical-free as possible and individual attention is given to all living things on the farm, from soil microbes to donkeys and horses. Our redworms will happily transform your kitchen food waste into beautiful compost for your houseplants and/or garden needs. This is a sustainable way to deal with our civilizations organic wastes and one of the most low-tech ways to be environmentally correct with as few ecological footprints as possible.
Aloha Redworms are sold per pound. Many experts recommend that new breeders purchase bed run to set up a new worm bin. To start a new worm composting bin, we recommend you begin with at least 2-3 pounds to ensure your bin begins composting quickly. Our bed run provides adult worms plus a rich population of healthy hatchlings, juveniles and eggs, as well as a bed of the rich food in which they were raised. The hatchlings and juveniles are so tiny that they add almost nothing to the weight of worms sold, but they are well started. What this means for you the buyer is that the hatchlings and juveniles are developing, with additional worms hatching out from day one, instead of having to wait for a group of adults to breed and lay eggs, and for the eggs to hatch. This jump starts a worm bin population. You can start with less, however it will take a lot longer before your worms are able to consume more organic waste and produce more castings so keep that in mind. IMPORTANT NOTE!! Aloha Redworms offers high quality "guaranteed live delivery" on our Red Worms. Delivery is nationwide, with a 2-3 days delivery to almost all areas of the Continental USA only (no international orders please). Worms ship ONLY via USPS Priority Mail at a flat rate - packed neatly in a shipping bag.
All orders are harvested and shipped every Tuesday. That means orders placed by Sunday noon will get shipped on Tuesday. As a result, there is a 90% chance the worms arrive that Thursday and a 10% chance the worms arrive that Friday.
IMPORTANT: For the safety of the worms and in order to offer a live arrival guarantee, you MUST be at the shipping location to receive the worms at the time of their arrival. Worms left in a place where they can get direct sunlight (Porch), or excessive heat (Mailbox) will die in a matter of minutes. If you will not be available we can place "HOLD AT POST OFFICE FOR CUSTOMER PICKUP" on the box. You will then be required to pick up the worms from your post office within 24 hours. If you would like to use this option, please specify it in the "special instructions" section during ordering. Our live arrival guarantee is VOID if these conditions are not met.

Aloha Redworm European Nightcrawlers are great for composting and larger than the redworms. European Nightcrawlers can be used for worm composting systems however we recommend you start with our Red Worms if you're not very experienced. Wooden bins have advantages for Indoor and outdoor use to compost year around in any climate. These bins look great on your porch or deck! Wood bins are much easier to use than plastic. They help to keep the temperature even and have no problems with condensation so it is easier to keep even moisture. Our bins feature a horizontal migration system. A migration screen for composting on one side, then switching to the other side while the first side finishes (your redworms will migrate through the screen to the new compost). Miniature Donkeys
These Nightcrawlers are as adaptable to the cold as redworms. They are very compatible with redworms and they will do a lot of the finish work (like break down the bedding material once the food is gone) that the redworms leave behind. Redworms will mostly work in the area that has the most food, but European nightcrawlers will continue to break down the remnants left in the finished compost. These worms produce a lot of castings and a lot of cocoons (babies). Great bait worms too! They can handle freezing cold water and are the only worms suitable for use as bait in brackish water. 300 - 400 ct. per pound. Do not refrigerate.
